A significant milestone has been reached: the filing of the application for planning permission to the town!
We hoped to do before the end of March, but, as you know, things do not always go as planned ...
short, I can assure you that my favorite and I heaved a sigh of genuine relief!
The bad news is that we'll have to wait about 6 months for an answer ...
Our terrace was not in the zoning regulations from Brussels (which are ridiculous), our record is automatically "in consultation" with public investigation and defense of our project to a panel of local residents and to the key.
We had a choice: follow the rules (regarding the view from the neighbors) and 1.9 m away on either side of the terrace to be found with a balcony, or deviate from the law and enjoy a terrace of 15m2 (which absolutely does not bother the neighbors). We chose, hoping the jury will agree with us!
Anyway, in the worst cases, current tenants are entitled to stay until 30 September. If you count six months from today for the response to our request, it falls mid-October. So the loss of time is more or less minimal.
So here we are ready to begin our search for the decoration, furniture, etc.. Needless to say, we will ask quotes for various contractors in time to begin work in mid-October.
In fact, the architect we predicted a yard up to 6 months (80m2 to renovate and add a floor of 70m2 including terrace). Normal to you?
